The Simple Morning Routine That Will Improve Your Mood
The Real Morning Routine … (That Doesn’t Involve a Himalayan Ice Plunge)
We’ve all seen them: influencers sipping mushroom lattes at sunrise, post-sun salutation, pre-kale harvest, radiating smug serenity. Meanwhile, you’re barely upright, bargaining with your snooze button like it owes you money. But here’s the good news—your morning doesn’t need to look like a wellness retreat in Bali to improve your mood. In fact, just three things can make a big difference: light, movement, and protein. Step into the sun (or at least your window), do a five-minute stretch while pretending you're in a yoga montage, and actually eat something with protein in it. Yes, even if it’s just a boiled egg and some almond butter on toast—your brain will thank you.
Bonus points if you can add some fibre and vitamin C (hello, jacked up smoothie) or a bit of breath-work before checking your phone. But mostly, just start your day with intention, not Instagram. Your mitochondria don’t care how aesthetic your morning journal is—they just want enough B vitamins to get through the day. Keep it simple, keep it real, and maybe—just maybe—skip the ice bath. Unless you're into that. In which case… you’re already better than the rest of us ;)
